POLICY & PROCEDURES

Vet checks and pre-purchase exams (PPE) are welcome
PPE costs are roughly $300 with trip charges
Buyers welcome to arrange a vet of their choice or we can help set up an appointment for you
To hold a horse/pony for a vet check- $350 nonrefundable deposit to hold for up to 4 days
- If purchase of the selected horse/pony is made after the PPE, the $350 deposit is applied to the purchase price and the remaining balance of the purchase price is due in full within 48 hours.
- If not purchased after PPE, the nonrefundable deposit is retained by Katy’s Corral

Once you have found your horse/pony at Katy’s Corral, there are a few ways payment can be handled
Payment must be made in full using the following
- Cash
- A good check
- Zelle
- Venmo
- Paypal (3% fee)
- Credit Card (4% fee)
- Wire Transfer
Once payment is made, you’ll be given a bill of sale
All horses sold will have a current negative Coggins test and interstate health paper at Katy’s Corral’s expense for all out of state sales
If you are a Wisconsin resident, a 5.5% sales tax will be added to the purchase price

Each buyer has one (1) week of free board from the purchase date to pickup of the animal either themselves or by a shipper
We have a list of commercial shippers that we recommend available if you’d like it sent to you
After one (1) week, buyer will be charged $10/day for board until the horse/pony is picked up
