Clyde will be four this coming spring, but don’t let his age fool you as he has a mentality better than most three times his age. He is as good of natured, smart, friendly and trustworthy of a young horse as I’ve ever owned. He is absolutely adorable in person and standing fourteen hands he looks just like a miniature version of a Clydesdale. He is a Clydesdale pony cross. Previous owner docked his tail. Clyde is well broke to both ride and drive! He has the most laid back, gentle and easy going personality. Clyde loves people and will let you walk right up to him in the biggest pastures. We have let him sit for months and pulled him out and he both rode and drove right off like an old seasoned citizen. We have driven him all over the farm, down the main roads/highway, under overpasses, right alongside semi’s and big farm equipment and he was excellent. We have also trail ridden along the highway, over logs, through water, through ditches and up and down the hills. Clyde will also trot and lope circles in the arena and has a cool short lope! He would make an excellent lesson, therapy, 4H and all-around riding and driving horse. He has been ridden bareback, double and been crawled all on and could care less. We have even started to teach him to lay down on command. If I wasn’t trying to cut down on my personal horses I don’t know if I’d let this one go. He is definitely one of a kind.
